Macbook stuck at Apple loading screen

Solution Sounds like something has gotten corrupted and your OS is simply not booting.

Insert your system disk and boot from it by holding the c key while powering up.

Run the Disk Utility from there and do both a permissions repair and a disk repair.

If you do not have your disk handy, hold command+s while booting. At the prompt, type...

fsck -yf

Allow this to run until it gives you a clean bill of health, then type...

exit
