Mac- Create Shortcut to Mapped Network Drive

Solution Finder > Apple-K

smb://server_or_workstation name/share or smb://www.xxx.yyy.zzz/share

eg

smb://server01/data or smb://172.0.0.1/data

You can also do this by selecting Go > Connect to Server... in the Finder.

To remap the shares at login simply go to the Accounts preference pane, select Login items and add the mapped shares. They will connect every time you restart or login.

Then, in the Finder, select Finder > Preferences and under the General tab, check the boxes to show Connected Servers on the desktop.
